HAAC Talks Community Partnerships across the Province

By March 6, 2013News

In strategic planning, HAAC recognized that the success of our activities, current and planned, would be greater with partnerships in the community, with health associations and researchers among others.

The development of strategic partnerships with collaborators who share our interests is crucial for HAAC to be successful with their plans in achieving the goals set out in our vision and mandate.

Collaboration on current activities and new initiatives will be a key focus of the HAAC Board and Executive over the next year. At Christmas time, we sent an update on our activities and an invitation for partnership and collaboration to about twenty identified potential partners.

These included agencies and associations within the Black community as well as partners in health research and non-profit sector.

With the development of strong strategic partnerships and alliances, HAAC will see its vision – thriving healthy African Canadian Communities in Nova Scotia – become a sustainable reality.

If you are not yet a member of HAAC, why not join us and help make difference in building a healthy African Canadian Community?

Together we can grow in knowledge and awareness to promote health and wellness.
