The first-ever-of-its-kind 2014 African Nova Scotian Mental Health & Addictions Initiative Conference (ANSMHAI), is an exciting 2 day affair that will put Nova Scotia/ Canada on the map by showcasing leading experts of mental health issues for diverse African, Caribbean, Black (ACB) populations.  It begins on Thursday, November 27 until Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Holiday Inn (101 Wyse Road) in Dartmouth, NS.

On
Thursday evening, there will be a FREE Networking Mingler Event from 5-9pm.  On Friday, the critical exchange of dialogue about mental health service navigation, usage, delivery, and responsiveness from representatives across local, regional, provincial, national, and international levels will begin with the intent to examine considerable contextual issues when providing health services to diverse ACB populations so that they can be better served.

This conference is being held in proud collaborative partnership between the
Health Association of African Canadians and Nova Scotia’s Department of Health & Wellness.
