Scholarship Objective:

To assist full and part-time students of African Ancestry who are attending a recognized college or University in Nova Scotia in their pursuit of a career in the health professions.

Eligibility Requirement:

• Priority will be given to those students who:
• Demonstrate participation with the work of the Health Association of African Canadians
• Identify as African Nova Scotian/Black/African Ancestry
• Attend college/university in the province of Nova Scotia
• Prove unmet financial need with an attached, itemized budget
• Are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or have refugee status

Application 1 Deadline:

Deadline for application is March 31st, 2025.

Application Process:

1. Bursaries will be awarded to applicants with the highest scores based on our scoring rubric.

2. The amount of each Scholarship is $1000.00.

3. Successful applicants will be notified in February 2025.
